The Felix Project and Biona

1st Oct 2018

Here at Biona we do our best to keep surplus food to a minimum and try to waste as little as possible. We want to help tackle this problem which is why we are really happy to be working with The Felix Project, a London based charity that tackles this issue head on. They collect good quality food donated from suppliers like us, enabling them to deliver food to a number of different charities around London, helping give vulnerable people a healthy and nutritious meal.

Last week we donated 500 trays of our quality organic GMO and additive free food to the Felix Project. This included our granola, coconut flour and raspberry cookies which we delivered to The Hornbean Café, a community project in Walthamstow. We also delivered croissants, quinoa & rice cakes to Foodcycle in Dalston who use our products to feed refugees and asylum seekers.

AGEUK, one of our other recipient charities of our donated food approached members of the Felix Project and explained what an incredible difference it had made to their kitchen, staff and to the nutrition of the meals they are able to provide as a result.

All our products are 100% traceable from farm inspections and material suppliers, right through to the finished product. As a result, we can guarantee the supply of consistently high-quality foods, which are ethically produced with respect for the environment and for everybody to enjoy.

To hear what a positive impact our donated food has made to some of London’s most marginalised and vulnerable people via foodbanks, night shelters and community kitchens, makes us proud to be supporting such a worthwhile cause, and we're excited to continue working with The Felix Project!
